Custom Design Awards: Crafting the Biķernieki Race Track 60th Anniversary Trophies

This year, the legendary Biķernieki race track celebrates its 60th anniversary. To honor this historic milestone, we had the great privilege of designing and manufacturing special anniversary awards, which will be presented to the best and fastest drivers across various auto and moto sports disciplines throughout the entire season.

This project is a perfect example of how custom-made awards can capture the unique story and atmosphere of an event, moving completely away from generic, standard trophy designs.

What Makes These Trophies So Unique?

Nowadays, original sports awards are no longer just standard metal cups. They are custom design pieces that combine different materials and modern technologies. For the Biķernieki trophies, we chose a thoughtful combination of elements:

Natural Wood Base: The solid wooden block adds weight, a premium feel, and a beautiful contrast to the modern materials.
Golden Mirror Acrylic with a Story: The central element is a golden silhouette shaped like a pine tree. Why a pine? Because the most iconic feature of the Biķernieki track is its location inside a beautiful forest.
Precise Track Layout: In the foreground, the dark red configuration line of the Biķernieki race track is precision-cut onto clear acrylic, alongside the official "BKSB 60" anniversary logo.

These acrylic awards combined with wood look outstanding both on the podium and later on the athletes' trophy shelves. The first trophies have already been awarded to well-known drivers, including Edgars Kroģeris (Drift Fan Favorite) and world-renowned rallycross star Johan Kristoffersson during the European Rallycross Championship round.
